WDT Espresso Distribution Tool
The WDT Tool supports precise puck prep by breaking up clumps and distributing grounds evenly before tamping. Fine, angled needles gently rake through coffee, helping reduce channeling and promote more consistent extraction.
A smooth slide-open mechanism reveals the needles during use and retracts them fully for safe storage between shots. The needles are precision instruments and can easily be bent, handle with care.

- Use: Slide open the storage case to reveal the needles. Gently whisk ground coffee in your portafilter to remove clumps and even out distribution before tamping. Retract needles fully after use for safe storage.
- Cleaning: Hand wash with soap and a soft sponge. Needles are delicate—take care when wiping clean. Not dishwasher safe.
- Maintenance: If needles become damaged, they should be replaced. Replacement needles are available. For deeper cleaning, disassemble periodically and clean components by hand, then dry thoroughly before reassembly.
Use + Care
- Use: Remove the protective storage cap before use. Place your portafilter on a flat surface or counter edge. Apply pressure down on the tamper’s handle until the indicator is within the painted range, signaling ideal pressure for extraction.
- Cleaning: Wipe down with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water. Not dishwasher safe.
